Elton Brand, Brent Barry, Corey Maggette, Dee Brown and more... and the chicks!

The 36 year old free agent guard made his decision Thursday, signing a deal which will keep him with the club for two years. Per team policy, financial terms were not released.

Elton Brand has been a mainstay on the revived Los Angeles Clippers. "He's an average Joe," Clippers teammate Sam Cassell says.

Brand and the 76ers made it official Wednesday on a five-year deal worth a reported $82 million, a shrewd move that promptly turned the emerging franchise into Eastern Conference contenders.Brand says he and his agent wanted to negotiate with the Clippers, but the owner wasn't available. So Brand said, what owners are available? Other owners were available. Brand said if Falk had talked to Donald Sterling, he may be a Clipper. Dan asked him which other teams were in the mix. Brand said that he talked a lot with the Warriors as well.

Elton Brand felt like the Clippers didnt want him because they didnt reach out to him after he opted out. So he looked at his other options. Eventually signing with the 76ers for LESS MONEY THAN WAS OFFERED BY THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS. The Sixers showed that they wanted Elton Brand more by clearing cap space in the trade that sent Rodney Carney and Calvin Booth to the Timberwolves.

Corey Maggette said he won't be with the Clippers through the rest of the season.

The Golden State Warriors acquired free agent Corey Maggette on Thursday, signing away the Los Angeles Clippers' scoring leader. While the team would not comment on terms of the contract, a person with knowledge of the deal previously told The Associated Press that Maggette would be signed for 5 years at around $50 million

Mickael Pietrus has punched out the competition ... so far.

The Orlando Magic introduced the 6-foot-6 free agent, Mickael Pietrus, Thursday after signing him away from the Golden State Warriors.

Dee Brown was signed to an offer sheet Thursday by the Washington Wizards after spending last season in Turkey. Brown was chosen No. 46 overall by Utah in the 2006 draft and played in 49 games as a rookie. But the Jazz were stacked at the guard position entering the 2007-08 season, so he accepted an offer from Turkish club Galatasaray with the hope to performing well enough to return to the NBA with another team. Brown, who led Illinois to the NCAA title game in 2005, averaged 12.3 points with Galatasaray. He would be the Wizards' third-string point guard, behind Gilbert Arenas and Antonio Daniels.
