It has become obvious that Brett is coming back, unfortunantly it has also become obvious that Green Bay wants to move on, so I'm gonna break down where I think he would fit good at.
The market for Brett won't be as huge as people are inclined to think because
- He's not been there the whole off-season
- He's only gonna be there 1-2 years
- he has no chemistry with the team yet
- It will hurt the confidence of a QB who they have been telling they will be the starter since march
- You want to put him a system very simialr to Green Bay's because he doesn't have much time to learn
- He wants to be on a winning team
Option 1: Washington- Jason Capbell has been struggling and Jim Zorn wants to run a west coast offense that will fit farve well, also this team is one great QB away from being a serious title contender
Option 2: Minnisota- If you add in a great QB this will be one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, also Minnisota's current QB situation is awful and he has been around this Viking staff for years considering he's played them twice a year since hewas a rookie.
Option 3: Chicago- This something I would personaly love to see mainly because my dad coached Marty Booker in high school so if he joins the bears I may finally get an autograghed jersey of one of my favorite players ever to play the game, also the bears QB situation is awful and it's a good way to get back at the Packers for not letting him come back
But if he is not droped, but traded, you can forget option 2 and 3, if he is traded i look for them to try to stick him somewhere in the AFC, and my frontrunner in the AFC has to be the Ravens.
Option 4: Baltimore- This would be a good learning period for Joe Flacco, so you don't have to stick him out in the line of fire in the most physical division in the NFL, also with the addition of Farve the Ravens would have almost no weaknesses on there team, putting them up there with the Patriots, Jags, Colts, and Bolts in the AFC.
Those are the 4 teams that I would bet have the best chances of aquiring Farve.

The guy should hang it up and maybe he can retain his reputation. I love this guy - he has been my sports hero for 17 years. However, I hold my heroes to high standards....higher evidently than Brett can apsire to. I would have loved him for one more year in GB - he goes elsewhere he becomes another arrogant old hack.

Report Offensive CommentOption 1 doesn't work, for this reason: Jason Campbell IS the #1 for the Skins, so why destroy the hard work Zorn's invested in him to bring in Favre??
Plus, Colt Brennan gets to hold the clipboard for 2 years while he learns the WCO. Again, WHY screw up the plan to have him be Jason's backup by having Favre here??
DC Sports Nut: good Zorning!!! | 07/11/08, 10:17 PM
Report Offensive CommentWell it seems that Jason Capbell has less than spectacular stats and Washington is a veteran team that seems to be wanting win now, and we all know that Brett Farve is a much better player for a team that wants to win now

Report Offensive CommentI don't see Washington as an option either. Campbell is a pretty solid QB, I don't see them bringing in Favre for a year or two and sitting Campbell on the bench.

Report Offensive CommentThey have Jeff Garcia, but you never know with Gruden

Report Offensive CommentI think Tampa is a good fit, bc Gruden runs that West Coast offense as well. The only issue is how to get him there. Tampa knows that they will only get 1-2 years out of him, so they aren't gonna throw anything higher than a mid-round pick. Favre is one of the Top 5 or Top 10 QBs in the game right now, so Thompson isn't gonna want to trade him for that. It is just a poor value. He also can't have Brett looking over Rodgers' shoulder because it would tear the team apart.
He is best to just release him outright. Even if they have to play him twice a year.

Report Offensive CommentIt sure looks like Brett has never forgiven the GB fans for not rallying behind his decision to acquire the over-rated Randy Moss (only 62 Superbowl yards and 1 touchdown -- after the defender fell down). After six months of telling the Packers he's retired, now he says he wants to play somewhere, anywhere, else. Let's see him go to the Bears. After all, didn't Jim McMahon sit on the Packer's roster for the whole '96 Superbowl season?
