We all know there is a fierce competition going on at LSU for the starting QB spot since Ryan Perrilloux was dismissed from the team. Here are a couple of highlights on the two prospects. Based on what you see in the video clips, who should get the nod? You be the judge...................

I personaly like Hatch because he seems more mobile, and that's big at LSU

That's a good point. I was at the spring game and he was really impressive. The public opinion seems to be with Lee at the moment but time will tell.

I didn't see Russell move that much, but hey, I was oly exposed to him after the Suger Bowl

They both look like they can throw a nice looking ball. I saw more of Hatch in those videos. Hatch does look like he might get happy feet back there, and Lee showed good arm strength throwing off of his back foot just about. They both look pretty good.

I liked Andrew Hatch's ability and raw talent more than Jarrett Lee. But at least both of LSU's starters have a level of talent that isn't just in the hair, and have a quarterback that's only skill is bowling a 287. Like Marylands

Your right, J Russ didn't run a lot but when he did he was very effective. He ran about a 4.8 and when you get 265 pounds moving he was pretty hard to bring down. Matt Flynn was a better scrambler than he was given credit for as well. Russell really didn't have to run as much b/c he could make the throws with that cannon.
Both Lee and Hatch are good and will do a fine job at LSU. I will save my opinion as to not influence group. There's another video of Lee that was posted on Dandydon.com a while back. I need to look for it so all of you can have more to evaluate. Both better be looking in their rear view mirror for Jordan Jefferson (2008) and Russell Sheppard (2009).

Russel is the exception, but he was very quick for someone who is 6-6 265

I think that Lee is the one with the more raw talent, but Hatch has been exposed to the offense longer and once again has that baility to run

From what I have heard from my friends who are LSU fans they want Lee, they see a lot of a more talented Matt Flynn in Lee, but I really don't know

It is a toss up. I think Crowton likes Hatch's style and Miles feels more comfortable or safer with Lee. I do not think that it has been decided yet, and will end during the summer practice with Lee starting because that is who Miles feels the best with in the same manner as Hester last year.

I saw Lee's High School video and watched his practices and they guy is the real deal. He is very smart and has an extremely accurate and strong arm. Hatch is very mobile and should fit into the mold like Perriloux did last year. I think both will play a lot and we will just have to see who takes the reins and moves the team. I think Lee knows the plays very well and will be ready.

By the way, I know you guys are gonna get really mad at me for saying this, and I know it isn't popular, but I think J Russell was a rotten quarterback.
Yes, I know he was First in the Draft, and yes, I know he can throw the ball 80 yards on his knees and through the goalposts.
The boy just didn't impress me at LSU. 265 pound quarterback who, when he ran, would actually slide before getting tackled. That's a crying shame.
I'm not hating on him, nor am I hating on LSU. I watched just about every LSU game he played in, and I rooted for him. My old man's a LSU allum, class of '51, and he loves LSU. But neither of us dug J Russell.
I hope Lee gets the nod at quarterback at LSU. Why in the world would you all want a Harvard clyde as your quarterback? Isn't Lee a local boy? I'm rooting for Lee. I'm a strong believer in dancing with who you bring to the party.
ps I'm bummed out McKnight came to SC and didn't stay home in Louisiana. He seems like he has a lot of potential and all, but I like to play with our homegrown talent. Besides, he's flunking classes and that makes us look bad.
