With his offensively challenged lineup sagging under the pressure of not having Johnny Damon and Hideki Matsui, Brian Cashman didn't discount looking into signing Richie Sexson when he clears release waivers next week. According to his agent, Casey Close, Sexson, 33, is mulling through offers but isn't likely to join a new team until next week.
People need to realize thet even though Sexson is NOT someone that will compete for the batting crown, but he is a HUGE power threat. This guy may hit under .260 for an avg., but he can have 30 plus homer seasons! Think about it.
