Elton Brand and Corey Maggette. These players are so damn good right? When have any of these players even made the damn playoffs? Did Brand do it in Chicago? I don't know.... I can't see paying all of this money for a guy that isn't even post season effective or got much post season experience. Yeah he might put up good stats but if you have that much cap room and you are throwing crazy amounts of money at these guys I just don't see where you are running an effective business. Corey Maggette and Elton Brand to me are just mediocre mid level basketball players. They aren't even really a marketable entity as in terms of selling jerseys! I have never seen a kid walking down the street wearing a Corey Maggette jersey, or an Elton Brand jersey. Just something to think about my friends. I guess we all have an opinion. I just have mine. =)

They are much better than 'mediocre' players (especially Brand).
But I agree with you that they are both OVERRATED.

both are vets who know the game well. i dont think they are elite players though.. they both needed a change. coming from a team and franchise with no heart., they now have a chance to show there worth to the league.

How can Brand be overated how can you average 20 and 10 for 8 seasons and be overated there aren't many player who can put those numbers up and at 6'8 it is even harder. I think philly had the right Idea but they still need a shooter I hope they don't over pay the orther "IA".

Post season effective? how ridiculous of a comment is that? Maggette overrated maybe, but Brand is a beast. he's a 20-10 nightmare for any team. philly finishes 2nd in the east this year mark my words...

or how about Pau Gasol? Having a low-post threat like Brand, or Gasol, or KG is what makes a championship contender in today's game. When has a team one a championship in the last 5 years without having a low-post go to guy. exactly it hasn't happened...
