It has been reported that Freddy Garcia had a cortisone shot before his last start ( the one he left early). Now let's see. His agent said he did, the Phillies said he did, Charlie Manuel at first said he didn't thnk so but then said yes he did.
When asked yesterday (Sunday) if he did, Garcia said no he didn't. What makes this story more interesting is that Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Daily News wrote, that the day he was supposed to have had the shot, Hayes noticed a band-aid where he would have had the shot (arm). When asked about it he said it was for decorative purposes and he did not have a shot.
My money is that he did have a shot and he was and is trying to hide it because he is going to become a free agent at the end of the year. What's the big deal about saying you did. It always comes out.
