Hello all, and welcome once again to another installment of a trip down memory lane, A chronicle of the Gators most embarrassing losses. Today we will focus on the 2005 Florida vs Bama game and it was a gem. The gators came into this game ranked 3rd in the nation. They probably thought they were gonna slay Bama but they did not take into consideration a young WR named Tyrone Prothro. He lit up the Gaytor secondary all game putting up some very impressive numbers with 5 catches for 134 yds and 2 touchdowns. One of which was one of the most spectacular catches in college football history. I will never forget his great leap and catching of the ball with his arms wrapped around the Florida defender. The Florida rush offense was totally shut down by Bama. Florida RB Deshaun Wynn could only manage 47 yards on the ground. And Gator QB Chris Leak only threw for 187 yards and 2 picks. It was definetly an embarrassing moment in Gator history. Especially the final score.
