The slowest professional sports game (Major League Baseball) goes 15 innings last night before being decided by a sacrifice fly ball. Although the throw at the plate was very dramatic, it wasn't as shocking that the real story of the All-Star game being played at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The real irony of the night was the MVP award that was given to J.D. Drew a player from the Boston Red Sox. MVP to the New York Yankees nemesis.... Well, it seemed only fitting that George Herman Ruth, the Sultan of Swat, who was a traded to New York Yankees from Boston Red Sox for a measly $100,000 back in 1920, that the Red Sox reclaim some of the prestige they gave up, as the last days of the "House that Ruth built" sees action. America's past time is like Archie Bunker in a recliner, very comfortable with a can of Old Style and a stoggy, but really the good ol days are history.
