Ahhhhhh, the simple life!.... How nice for ex Leafs baby-sitter, Paul Maurice, that, unlike the rest of us poor slobs, he has the CHOICE to work or not to work. "It's better to be paid than not," said Maurice in an interview just before he was canned. "We don't own four homes and ten cars. It's the simple life. But I'd much rather be working." Indeed. He doesn't own four homes, just one home the size of four. And four cars the size of ten (including a fully-loaded Caddy SUV and a brand spanking new mini-van for the Nanny).
Ahhhhhh, the simple life!.... His recent unceremonious ousting from the Leafs organization still left him with a seven-figure kiss-off. But just in case those billion pennies don't last the year, Maurice and his height-challenged marital side-kick, Mitch (yes, that's a she), have instituted Plan B -- flog home-sweet-home for $2.5 million. Here's the listing:

Ahhhhhh, the simple life!.... South Oakville, for those of you who don't know, is the toniest 'hood in Canada. I myself could only afford to buy the butler's pantry, but it doesn't appear to be a separate listing. We can only pray for the Maurices' sake that they unload this white elephant soon. Caviar is expensive these days.
