I apologize for not being very active here..or anywhere on this site as of late.  But, I've been relatively busy.  So, here I am now ready to talk some college football.  Also to prove once again that I'm one of this site's great college football fans.  Anyways, if you'll all recall when I became inactive I was working on my college football season preview.  Sadly, I don't know CPR...so I'm moving on to another project.  This is a one time deal.  I'm going to tell you all my favorite college football moments...all involving my favorite team, the Wisconsin Badgers.

This was actually incredibly tough for me.  Several moments..from my lifetime all came to mind.  Including the back to back Rose Bowl victories...those were some pretty special moments.  What about the great Ron Dayne breaking career all-time rusher mark?  Neither of those made it.

Now, you're all thinking so Badger...what did make it then?  Well, I'd like to take you back all the way to the year 2005.  Now, let's go to Minneapolis, MN..more specifically inside Metrodome.  Are you all comfortable?  I hope not it's horrible in there.  Anyways...let's fast forward are way through this game.  Now stop..less than a minute left in the 4th quarter.  Paul Bunyan's Axe is on the line.  And Minnesota is up...what??? All the Gophers have to do is just get one punt off.  They'll most likely win if they can just do that.  But, a bad snap.  And Jonathan Casillas blocks the ball and Ben Strickland recovers...what an amazing game.  The only reason why it's listed is because it's Barry Alvarez's last game as UW head coach against Minnesota..and just such a monumental blunder.

Now, let's go even farther back to the year 2002.  I was in 8th grade.  And then ranked number 1 Ohio State Buckeyes came marching into Camp Randall Stadium.  It was a night game on ESPN.  Sadly, I couldn't be there..but a friend of mine was.  Rob Reynolds, you'll be forever hated by Badger fans.  When he "accidentally" choked Jim Sorgi...taking him out of the game.  Once again we move ahead to late in the 4th quarter.  The Buckeyes are up late and UW's unheard of back up, Matt Schabert is in the game.  That's when Schabert may have unleashed the greatest throw of his entire career...I do believe it was on a deep post to Lee Evans..and absolute perfection.  Evans went in for the touchdown and UW won.

The last two I really don't want to spend too much time on.  But, they're two seperate occasions but they ended up tied..and they are 2006 and 2007 when we beat two mighty SEC teams in our bowl games.  Those were just incredibly sweet wins to me.

So, that leads to me ask what are your favorite moments involving the team you love in college football?
