Regarding: McGrady interested in Pistons

McGrady interested in Pistons
At least it seems everybody can agree on this: Tracy McGrady is happy. Whether the Houston Rockets will trade him to, say, the Pistons, is another matter. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith stirred that pot Tuesday when he said McGrady wouldn't mind coming to Detroit and joining Team Dumars. Said Smith: "Is Tracy McGrady interested? Yes, he is. I spoke to Tracy McGrady earlier. His basic thing is he's very happy in Houston, but he wants to win. So whatever is a winning situation for him is something he is more than willing to entertain."

I'm not much of a McGrady fan, but I think anybody that rips him for the failures of his teams in the playoffs are wrong. Look at Garnett. People said he couldn't win big games or step up when it counted and for the most part he did exactly that this past season even though Pierce won MVP. I think all T-Mac needs is a better supporting cast around him and maybe a move to a team like Detroit could be it. I think Detroit's smart to try to make moves because they know what they have can't win it all anymore while the Rockets seem to think the T-Mac/Yao duo can do stuff even though they've never got past round one. I'm not so sure about that thinking. Teams are generally afraid to pull the trigger when they know they'll be in the playoffs. In this case, though, I think it's in the best interest of the Rockets to make the move if you can.

I agree. Its time for Houston to move on.
