Walking down 17 today, at the tail end of my loop, when I turned toward two of the players in our group. With a 2:30 pm tee time, I knew we'd spend most of our day in the brightest sunshine on the hottest day of the summer. For a caddy who loves the sun and hot weather, I was probably more excited than most. But back to 17. It's now about 6:15 pm. The sun is on the decline now. My favorite part of the day. In the summer, it's the best time of day for me. In fact, it's my favorite time of day during my favorite season. So I turned to these two players and shared my thoughts about just that fact. "I love this time of day. On the golf course, you've spent most of the day outside in the bright summer heat. I love it. It reminds me of what it's like to be a kid again." And their reply? "Me too," they both chimed in. I get it now.

Ahh those late summer afternoons in the summer as a kid. Playing tag in the dark, catching fireflys and looking up at the stars. Also used to enjoy watching my dad and brother go catfishing on our pond. They fished and I was the net guy.

Haha, I love that time, too.

Anyway, I went golfing for the first time in over a year two days ago. I only went 9 holes yet I shot a cool 34 over par.
