I have to write a blog post about this here. I just read you rpower rankings for QB's on a sohrt glimpse basically and I saw one HUGE mistake. (I am a Colts fan but take it from others as well). Tony Romo ahead of Peyton Manning. I men, are we talking about the same Tony Rommo who has blew both of his playoff games and in his third year as a starting, full-time quarterback? I hope so becuase Peyton Manning is in his 11th year and is a top 10 QB ever. Peyton Manning threw for more yards, touchdowns, (and interceptions) and with a higher QB rating.
But why is that? Tony Romo didnt get any new weapons but Peyton and his Colts did. They got Marvin Harrison who was completely inactive last year besides a few games and the beginning and one playoff game at the end of the season. Now he has two future hall of fame recievers and a star top 5 tight end in the league. Tony Romo does have Jason Witten and TO but other then those two, he doesnt really have much.
But I also think there is more to being a good passer to define a good, strong quarterback. Its really about the offense as a whole and the playoffs as well. Tony Romo has had to cry about two close losses while Peyton Manning has went 4-1 including a Super Bowl victory over the past two years in the plaoyffs. And Joseph Addai and theColts O-line trample over the unjry riddled Kevin Jones and the Cowboys O-Line.
So overall Peyton is the MUCH better QB and will continue to be in the future.
