I wish everyone would just lay off of Favre. We all should have known he was gonna come back. Why do you think he didn't officially sign his retirement papers? Yes the saga gets old year after year, but you can't tell me you wouldn't want him to comeback if he played for your team, and was coming off a stellar year. At least the Packers have no plans on releasing him now. What a shame that would have been watching him march the Bears or the Vikings down the field and onto a Superbowl.

What if the Patriots or the Colts were going through this ordeal every year with Manning or Brady? You can bet the house that they would welcome them back with open arms with no questions asked. Is it because Favre is old or that other teams and fans know that the Packers are legitimate contenders to win the Lombardi Trophy this year.

Packer fans should be glad that the man wants to come back and play. After all Aaron Rodgers hasn't showed us a whole hell of alot anyway. The kid will be a Superstar in the future, but we know what we have in Favre. If favre goes out on the field and stinks it up, then maybe it would be time for the change. Rodgers showed us all in the Dallas game last year that he can handle the pressure of a big game. He also showed us that leadership to take control of a team. But can he do it all season long? This could very well be a flop for Favre, and perhaps he is making the wrong decision, but at least give him his due.

Favre has always been reliable, even when he is injured he does nothing but try to give 110 percent on the field. For all these so-called true Packer fans to just throw this man under the bus and hope he chokes, you all are just a bunch of Hypocrites with nothing better to do than to woller in your own self pity and hope for the worst.

Me being the true Packer fan I am wants  what is the best for the team to win us a Championship. If it means start Favre over Rodgers then so be it. If the coaches think Rodgers has what it takes to do the job that is fine with me also. Let's just get this situation taken care of and get the team ready to go out stomp a mudhole in the Vikings on September 8th on Monday Night Football.

I am not a true Packers fan but I think its crazy if they say the Pack has a better chance with Rodgers.I would put my trust in the man that has got the job done before.I just dont see how they could that easily let a man of his statue go so easily. But hey that is just my opinion.

"Jerry, I believe it's 'Statute Of Liberty'. " - Cosmo Kramer. Or possibly "stature", unless they've already bronzed Farve, he's not a statue.

I agree. Brett Favre played through the death of his father, and many other events that would have distracted a man who did not have such a love of the game and a dedication to the Packers. I hope TT loses his job over this. It will not be this year, but it will be soon.

If Brett's worst trait is that he changes his mind--how bad is that? I think MM and TT want him gone so his reputation does not overshadow there's. Guess what----it is going to now worse than ever. If he had not signed his retirement papers well, duh?? Any managers familiar with Brett would know what that meant.

Did you see the ESPYS? Did you see him get one of the few standing ovations??? TT and MM-- you-don't know what hurt is until you finish a season with Favre when you could have had him. I am 56 years old and I may never feel the same about the Packers. I am ASHAMED of management's behavior.

Packers--Are your loyal fans who stuck with you in those sorry years between Starr and Favre--are we just as desposable??? You sure don't seem to care about our reaction either.

Brett--I will forever admire you and wherever you go, I will be there......
Psycholanalyst with a space open for TT and MM
