Welcome back once again for another edition of "A trip down memory lane," A chronicle of the Gators most embarrassing losses. Today we will take a look at the Gators 2002 match-up against the Hurricanes. Now I dislike both these teams but we cannot ignore the fact that the Gators were totally blown out in this game.

Once again this is another situation where the Gators D-line was absolutely dominated by there opponents running game. Miami put up 306 yards on the ground against the Gators. That had to be embarrassing. The Gators actually gave up 504 total yards to the Canes.

And the Canes were able to accomplish all this despite the fact they had 14 penalties costing them 134 yards. The Canes definetly got it done in the red zone going 5 for 7. They were clearly the better team.

One the the main reasons the Canes were able to shine was the performance of their RB Willis McGahee. What a great indiviual performance he had that day coming in with 24 carries and 204 yards with an 8.5 yard per carry average!

Another good indiviual performance was put on by Miami QB Ken Dorsey who threw for 204 yards and 4 touchdowns. I like this match up because as a Seminole fan, I know at least one of the teams I hate will lose it. :)
