I just read on FoxSports.com that Danica Patrick had caused YET ANOTHER controversy following a practice session for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Apparently Danica was unhappy with the driving of Milka Duno, mainly that Duno would not move out of the faster cars' way on the track, so after practice Patrick walked over to Duno's pit stall to complain about her driving. Duno and Patrick then had a little "conversation", where it is reported that Duno told Danica repeatedly to "go away". When that didn't work, Milka threw a towel at Danica, which then started a string of foul language between the two.
After the incident, Danica said, "Unfortunately, things involving me tend to evolve," Patrick said in the report. "I'm on the hot seat when I do something and when others do something (connected to me). It's kind of the line that I walk because I'm popular." Now, where should I start?
Danica needs to just shut up. She may be "popular", but let me tell you something she isn't: a proven racecar driver. You can argue this, saying "She's won a race!" Well whooptie-doo, she won that race on fuel milage if I recall right. She gets all the attention because she is the first decent woman driver in the IRL, but she is highly overrated and would probably be out of a job if the sponsors didn't love her image. Danica reminds me of a driver in the NASCAR series who is highly overrated mainly because of his fan base and his last name. Would anyone like to guess who I am talking about?
I really wish that Milka would have taken this further and put a beat-down on Danica. This would have taught her that she needs to keep her mouth shut and quit complaining every time something doesn't go her way. But Milka didn't, so the IRL will still have the same old Danica.
