Alright, Alright. I knowI'm probaly going to take alot of heat for this but I truly believe Philadelphia is the BEST town for Basketball. And I dont mean just professionaly.

So, here are a few facts to back-up my statement.

  1. Six Division I schools in the city. Six! I know down in North Carolina they are a hot-bed for hoops but nothing comes close to the tradition of the Big 5 and the Penn Palestra. I mean, for those who have been, there is nothing better than that. Villanova, St. Joes, Penn, Temple and La Salle make up the Big 5 with Drexel being the 6th Division 1 school.
  2. The Division II school in Philly, Philly U, may have the most legendary coach. Herb Magee has won over 800 games and is considered by many as a basketball genius. Many probaly havent heard of him, but hes is a giant.
  3. The Philadelphia Catholic League is not only the best, toughest brand of basketball in the state of Pennsylvania but in the entire East Coast of the United States of America. I know all about the PSAA in New York but Philly is the stuff of legend. Great Players. Better Coaching. Legendary Basketball.

There you go. I made my post, now lets see some banter and arguement among the fans.
