I'm so sick of pple's obsession with the NFL and Tiger Woods.  The Giants were not the biggest underdogs.  I mean they almost beat the Pats in the last week of the season, and they have comparable talent.  App State vs. Michigan was the biggest upset.  Different levels of play, different levels of talent, history vs. obscurity.  The Giants were probably the least underdogish (if I can make that a term) of the whole group.  It's just that the NFL or TIger wins every category.

As to Tiger: 1. HE'S NOT AN ATHLETE!!!!  He may be great, but put him in any other sport and he couldn't begin to even compete.  I could name several athletes that you could interchange between basketball, football, and baseball and they'd do well.  Heck even soccer players probably.  I mean Ginobili flops like one.  2.  His championship performance wasn't the best.  Well I guess it depends on your definition.  I mean it was gritty, but honestly he didn't play that well.  He was very up and down.  3.  He's hurt and at home, why doesn't the brat have the dignity to at least send in a recorded thank you for the awards he won.  I mean seriously, what else are you doing?  You could be at the friggin' awards ceremony.  He does whatever he wants and pple still love him.  I swear he could take a dump on Michael Wilbon's face and Wilbon would still tell us how amazing his is and how it was the most masterful dump ever taken.

JT was kinda funny, and I'm blown away that an NBA team won the best Team category.  I guess my assumptions aren't always correct.  I did however call every other time the Giants and Tiger would win.

Ok, I'll give you that it's difficult. And it's especially not easy if you carry your own clubs, walk all 18 holes and it's hot. However, do you need to be an athlete to do anything associated with golf? I don't think so. Cough...John Daily...Cough.

It's a skill. It's in the same league as darts and bowling. Are those things ok to enjoy? Sure. Most pple, including myself, enjoy them. But they are not sports according to my definition. And they definitely don't require you to be an athlete.

But YES I would rather watch an entire weekend of golf than one Poker show. Golf has WAY more of a right to be on ESPN than Poker does. It infuriates me way more.
