I'll admit the title is a bit misleading.  No, I won't use this blog to bash the Buckeyes.  Instead this is an extremely late response to the comments made by Carson Palmer.  You know the ones where he essentially insulted the Buckeyes and there fans.

I'm happy for Carson that he's proud to have graduated from Southern Cal.  But, honestly how could you not know that there would be a few Ohio State fans in the state of Ohio.  Carson you have to understand that Ohio State football is a huge deal in Ohio.  What you did is like going to the zoo and complaing that there are monkeys in the monkey cage.  I'm not comparing Ohio State fans to monkeys..I was just making an example.   

Carson Palmer is turning into every other fan who complains about Ohio State's successes.  I'm nowhere being an Ohio State fan but, I respect what they've done.  To all those fans who complained about Ohio State being the National Title game...take care of your business.  All you gotta do is take care of your business and you wouldn't be in that position.  USC fans, you honestly believed that you should have gotten a shot at the National Title..despite losing to Stanford...Stanford at home.  People always talk about Ohio State fans and how they've got this elitist sense about them.  But, in my completely anti-USC opinion, they've got an even greater elitist sense about them.  USC football has reached the same level of Duke basketball in my mind.  Every single year...no matter how rightully they might deserve the praise, USC fans always talk about how they should be in the National Title game.  

I consider myself a pretty big college football fan.  I've stayed up quite often to watch Pac-10 games.  People talk a lot about the Big 10 being weak...but I'm not gonna lie the Pac 10 is just as bad as the Big 10..in terms of overall depth.  But, now that I've strayed away from point as I have....Carson Palmer is an idiot for making these comments.  As I said before you gotta roll with the punches.  No where you're at.  You're in Ohio..so naturally there's going to be predominantly pro-Buckeye talk.

Am I completely off base here?
