My Favorite Venue

We've got a pretty cool feature currently on the front of SI.com. About 30 of our writers and editors weighed in on their favorite venues, from Allen Fieldhouse to Fenway Park to LSU's Tiger Stadium.

Yours truly picked the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, the site of the U.S. Open.

Yours truly was made fun of for that selection.

Check the selections out here, and feel free to weigh in with your own venue.

Rich, if your colleagues razzed you about picking a tennis venue, they are going to be merciless when they see "Yous truly".

But of course the torment should be directed at Pete's (Rich's?) Editor...he/she is obviously a wee bit lax with spelling.

;-)

gotta love what the Homer Dome did for the Twins.

otherwise, I'll take that semi-outdoor hockey venue in Germany with the light show and rock concert atmosphere I played in back in 92...

Yous have a good set of eyes, Kari.

I've only been there once, but I saw Baltimore play at Camden Yards the first year of the new stadium. That is one neat ballpark.

Deitsch? Tennis? Come on. Wimbledon and Roland Garros have the BJKNTC beat.

Personally, I think Allen Fieldhouse is a fine choice.

St Louis was very nice to get around and go to Cardinals game...except it was hot as heck that day

Rich, thanks...it's in my genes. I was an English major and despite what Pete says, I'm really the one writing the Next Great American Novel.

Of course, I make my living as an IT Geek, and Pete is paid to write, so maybe I've got it all wrong.

Oh, and I can't believe that Wrigley didn't make the list.

The Ralph at the University of North Dakota qualifies...it's almost too fancy for college hockey

Hemo, have you even ever been to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center?

No, but I'm not advocating that another tennis arena is better, either.
