Many professional athletes can retire pretty much whenever they want. Thats not like most Americans who will give whatever they have for that kind of freedom. I mean, if Matt Ryan wanted to, he could wait until his contract is up and just retire. Enter: Brett Favre, the 17 year NFL vet, who is a sure Hall of Famer and will see his bust in Canton sooner rather than later has said he wanted to come back. Unfortunately, for Brett his old team, the Green Bay Packers don't want him. (Sound familiar, Jeff Bagwell.) There are many different arguements ranging across America.

"The Packers should give him the benefit of the doubt, hes Brett Favre. He gave them a ring and took them to another SuperBowl the next year. He is the NFL's all-time leader in Touchdowns, Passing Yards, Passing Attempts, Completions, Career Wins, Conseceutive games started, and oh yeah, Interceptions."

"The Packers need to develop their young QB Aaron Rodgers. I mean, if Brett is going to do this every year just get rid of him."

But, you just cant do it. You just cant.  It is Brett Favre.

If you look back at the history of sports, I would say that this all started with a little known man from The University of North Carolina and the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan. Ever since his retirement. and his comeback. then another retirement. then another comeback. then his last and final retirement. (maybe.) Has retiring then coming back been so popular.

There used to be a time when we were excited and celebrated those legendary figures who came back from retirement. But now, were tired of it. It seems strange doesnt it. A few players return from retirement and now, we wont let Brett Favre do the same.

I leave it to you, American Bloggers, are we saving Brett Favre from the category, or are we just being selfish and truly dont want Brett Favre to come back?
