In his stop in Germany, Obama called on Europeans and Americans to join to "defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it."
Does he know that terror exists in Iraq right now? Does he know that extremist are opperating out of Iraq? Yet he still wants to leave.
Before all you haters start commenting, keep this in mind. Are there not car bombings in Iraq? Doesn't the U.S. led coalition (I call it a coalition because there are still many countries that have troops in Iraq, even if it's Denmark's four) continue to deal with persistant fighting? As bad as it is, can you really expect it to do a complete 360 turn-a-round once the United States leaves?
People talk about genocide around the world. People say we should do something about it. Before we entered Iraq, there was genocide. The Sunnis controlled Iraq and under Saddam, killed thousands of Shi'ites. Why? Because of religious differences. Is that not genocide?
Before Obama goes on stealing another speech, let me steal one from him. He said, in his 2002 speech against the Iraq War, "I supported this administration's pledge to hunt down and root out those who would slaughter innocents in the name of intolerance" The speech is here: http://obamaspeeches.com/001-2002-Speech-Against-the-Iraq-War-Obama-Speech.htm
Saddam Hussein' domestic policies included terrorism. He killed thousands of Shi'ites and Kurds in chemical and biological weapons testings. He forced people to move out of their home because they opposed him. He killed people who opposed him. He was intolerant and slaughtered innocent people. He even attacked his own country in 1988 and killed 5000 Kurds in the town of Halabjah with a mixture of poison and nerve gas.
Obama pledges to fight terror, yet he did not see Saddam Hussein as a source of terror? Just one of the many examples of a person who wants change...
