I Love The Detroit Red Wings, I Love Hockey. I do love all sports, but I personally feel Hockey is the most exciting sport of all.

Hail, Hail, to Nick Lidstrom(the best player on the team, and in the league). He may be a defensivemen, but the man is always at the right place at the right time.
Nick is fast, strong, smart, and Humble. There is no other player like him in the NHL or any other sport.
All the spoiled brats from the MLB, need to take some classes in HUMBLENESS from this man. There are more important things in life then THEMSELVES.
Hockey players may be TOUGH AS **** ON THE ICE, but they are some of the most, honest, humble, classy, and non self absorbed people you will ever meet.

I agree that the NHL players are a class act. Football has to be the toughest sport to survive though. I watched Gordie Howe tie the Rockets record at Olympia and have followed them thru the really bad 70s. I rejoice in all the Stanley cup wins. But look at this Boldin of the Cardinals. He's got 2 years left on a contract that he just had redone 'couple years ago and just said today he'll never play for AZ again because they wont redo it again. And Shockley what a baby. He wasn't even needed in the Superbowl and should have shut up and enjoyed this coming season as champs. By the way you can see me posing with the cup:

I whole-heartedly agree on every count! LOVE the Wings! Lidstrom is awesome! Just watching the NHL players blows my mind. Their skill level is just amazing.
NHL is part soccer, boxing and obviously ice skating. Football players might be bigger and physically tougher than hockey players, but I think and believe that hockey players have to be a more conditioned athlete all around. During the Wings practice they like to kick around the soccer ball.
They make all their moves look flawless and so easy! Their humbleness is so unusual for a professional sport.
