Ahh yes so Brett Favre plans on reporting to Packers Training Camp. This obviously means that he's going to, at some point, file for reinstatement with the league. This is a brilliant move by Favre..he's going to force the Packers, who otherwise wouldn't have done a thing, to make a move of some sort.
Sunday, when the Packers report for camp, is going to be an absolute circus. Favre doing all of this frustrates me beyond belief. Favre says he doesn't want this to negatively affect Aaron Rodgers...I'm pretty sure Brett showing up to camp is going to do very little to help Aaron out. The Packers have been very clear that Aaron Rodgers is there guy. As he should. You've gone the entire summer...all of these mini camps preparing and tailoring the offense to Aaron. You can't take all of that back. You've done everything but, have Aaron's name be called out during the starting line ups during Week 1.
Favre showing up is huge. This means Favre will be traded..he doesn't want to be a back up and the Packers don't want him to start. People seem to have preconceived ideas based on what they've seen of Aaron during games when he's come in for Brett. What people seem to be forgetting is that all of the stuff that Aaron was doing involved schemes specifically designed for Brett Favre. Having Favre there is going to do nothing for Aaron. This frustrates me incredibly because no matter how good Aaron Rodgers does this year it'll be overshadowed by how the Brett Favre dilemma is handeled. And for good or worse Ted Thompson is going to be viewed as the guy who got rid of Favre...I personally don't think it's fair. This situation is only going to end poorly.
Your thoughts?

I for one am ready for Aaron Rodgers. Brett Favre is an old dog...no matter how many times you yell at him for peeing on the carpet, he's still going to do it until he dies. Rodgers, on his very first try when most people were actually paying attention, performed well at Dallas. Sure you will have people say that one game doesn't mean anything. I've seen a hundred games played by Brett Favre and nothing much has changed. Its feast or famine with him.
GM's of teams are supposed to be dinks. If they're not, they are not doing their jobs. Favre is like the mascot whom everyone is supposed to love. Someone's got to break it to the guy that he's not in his twenties anymore.
The Vikings must be on crack if they think the Dome holds some mystical power that will prevent him from making ill advised throws. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that mystical power is Adrian. Touche

I agree with you. This is going to end up poorly and people are going to be blamed no matter how good the Packers do and no matter how good Rodgers performs.
I think they should just put Favre and Rodgers in a QB battle. And Brohm and Flynn in another QB battle. That would be the only fair way to do it.

Haha I didn't even realize the irony until you pointed it out MyFavre..and I agree with you.
PackersLP..that might be a good idea..but I think it's all but done that Favre is out of Green Bay..he's talked himself out of being our quarterback in my opinion.

I want to see what all the "Packer fans" that hate Favre so much say when he comes back to Lambeau this year and scorches us. That will ultimately happen because of the management. For all you that think he is done, washed up, were you watching any of the games last year? Did you miss something? He was a Pro Bowl QB.
