Its Barry here, Barry Bonds. I have made some mistakes, I am not always good with people. In many ways baseball, being the best has always been my first love and maybe at times I took that to far. This last year has been humbling to me as a person. It has been the hardest year of my life.
I have played this sport my entire life and played it well. Say what you want about me I could always hit a ball. People say homeruns are going away but you will see a kid like ARod hit 60 or 70 again. For the first time I have had to sit at home and watch others play when I know I got something left.
Hank you gave Giambi a chance and look how he paid off. I still got game. When it comes down to it, when it is you versus Mani and Popi doesn't ARod and Bonds the two greatest homerun hitters ever back to back give you chills. I got 15 more homers for you in the regular season. 6 in the playoffs. I will hit .280 for the year and .330 in the playoffs because flax seed oil is good.
I will donate my salary to charity. Let me end my carreer in the building Ruth built. Give me one more chance.
