Filipino, Stupidity, corruption, forever, no chance....Synonyms?

Please do not get me wrong. I am not here to hate. I am here to expose my ideas, thoughts, rants, and simple resolutions. Resolutions which might not sound that big of a deal but will for sure have Big Changes in our community if applied in our everyday lives. Let me start with the title first. Filipino, Stupidity, corruption, forever, no chance....Synonyms? I know it sounds mean. But it is the truth. We Filipinos are smart ang resourceful but most of us choose to act stupid. Our country is corrupt from top to bottom. Our problems have been here forever. And in my opinion we have no chance. We are a country who relies on a "BOXER" in order to stay sane for crying out loud. Yeah I know the old saying that goes "The rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer" Oh come on. The rich gets richer because they work hard for it. They have paid their dues. They started at the bottom and now they are enjoying the benefits of there hard work while on the other hand, The poor people are to lazy and to depressed to find a job. What do they do? Drink all day, gamble and blame the freaking Government for there misfortunes.(Blame the government for corruption but not for your unemployment It's not there fault if you're lazy) Do you see my point? You can blame the government, blame God, heck you can even blame me all day. But if you do not exert even a small effort to find a job just shut up, stop your whining and instead blame yourself. I know I sound mean but I am only speaking the truth. I know what you guys are thinking. How can I speak such garbage about people who I do not know? I've been through it, I lost everything. I blamed everyone, and then one day, I woke up and then BLAM! I realized that I was acting stupid and that it is not there fault that I wasn't working! It was my lazy ****'s fault.

Corruption 101

Corruption is all over our country. It's in our Genes. From barangay tanods to Governors, from Cops to the President.(You didn't hear that from me, you read it.lol) Corruption my friends has been here from our Great great Lolo's time and I do not see it going away any time soon. According to Expatriate businessmen in Asia, the Philippines is the most corrupt country in asia. Yup, that's right. The Philippines, Pilipinas, The Country that people like Jose Rizal built. It's a tough pill to swallow but what can we do? The Filipino people has grown accustomed to it. We hear the same names from before. The eskraja's, the marhose's, the asroyo's and all the other names. We think that there is no end to this but there is. The current generation(My Generation) has become smarter(at least that's what I think). Hopefully we do not commit the same mistakes that our forefather's have committed and we can start a new generation, a new country and a new future for the future Filipinos. Not the future which they are about to face. What future am I talking about? The present that we are living in. It is a cycle my friend. Our sons and daughters will go through the same stuff that our generation is going through. That is if we do not do anything. We should Act know. Take the money but vote for who you think is right. Use your brain. Think, Think, Think again then Act. For you, for me, for them.

Resolutions

These aren't your regular New Year resolutions. These would make you say ahh why didn't I think of that, Hmm that does make sense OR Damn this guys crazy, he does not make sense. It's all up to you. As I said I am just expressing my ideas, my views, my opinion. Respect my friend. RESPECT.

Resolution no. 1 Enforce a drinking age.

We have one but we need to ENFORCE it.

Why? Underage drinking destroys the liver at an early age. Ok we all know that. Fast forward to 60 years from now. 40 out of a 100 of those underage minors are now alcoholics. They get liver diseases from long time alcohol abuse. They are too poor to go to private hospitals and end up in a Government Hospital somewhere. The government helps them man through the Tax payers money(which is ok) BUT WAIT. Rewind 60 years back. If the Legal Drinking age was followed, there would be no alcoholics thus no need for the government to spend valuable money when all of this was so easy to avoid. Do you see my point? Save money from alcoholics, build barangay roads. It's not rocket science.

Why this won't happen?

I would say 35 percent of Filipino drinkers are under the age of 21 thus they are considered underage drinkers. That's 350,000 from every 1,000,000 individuals. So if they enforce the drinking age that would mean less profit for the Liquor distributors. Less profit means less production, less production means less workers, less workers mean more people blaming the government for unemployment and less workers and less production would mean less TAX and less kurakot to our beloved Government officials. Did I confuse you? Read it again. lol

Resolution no. 2 Strictly enforce the Seat Belt Law

Why?

Less deaths, less unavoidable injuries and more discipline, more violators mean more fines and more fines mean more money for the Government.

Why this won't happen?

The cop to civilian ratio I would say is roughly 1cop is to 30civilians. In order for this to happen the Government would need to hire more cops or metro aids in order to catch violators. They would need to get more Police cars and Bikes too BUT they can't and they won't. Why? The department is too under budget due to kurakot again.

I have more resolutions but i figures that this post might end up too long. Make your own resolutions and post them on my comment box.

We are a very unique nation. We are happy people, we have fun and enjoy even when we shouldn't be doing so. We are very traditional. We respect our elders and we are a religious country. That's what sets us aside from the Puti's, the itim's, the chinese and all the other nations out there. But we need to change. Sometimes changing something that you have been used to be doing for years is hard so changing things that we have learned from our "Ninuno's" should be very hard. BUT. Let us do it for ourselves, do it for others and do it for them, the future Filipinos. They deserve better, heck we deserve better. It is not too late my friends. I can see improvement a little by little which is good. We are smarter now, we are tougher. We should learn from our mistakes and avoid repeating the same ones again. We are a blessed nation. We are a lucky people. Remove the stupid mistakes that we commit, remove corruption in our generation, Let us be proud of our Heritage forever and we will have a chance. It's up to you and me? Are you ready to step up for the challenge? I know I am my friend. Let's do it. Let's make it happen. =)

Great blog. Unfortunately, what you outline is a problem in many nations around the world. What your country, and many others, need is more people like you who intelligently, and tactly, point out the problems of their nation and then through the power of Politics and Election go out and enforce them.

Work for your people.

I should have said correct instead of enforce. Poor choice of wording, there.
