Last season the Denver Nuggets acquired Allen Iverson to pair with Carmelo Anthony which shows that they want to win now. Therefore, I feel that they should now go after Kevin Garnett and have a three headed monster instead of two. With Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony both being perimeter players, it is unlikely that both of them will have good nights together on a consistent basis. This is why Garnett needs to be thrown into the lineup. I know that a lot of people might think that this is impossible, but Denver has plenty of trade bait to get Minnesota to bite. WHen making a trade then main focus is to keep Iverson and Anthony on the team. Therefore, every other player is expendable. With that said, they have Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith, Marcus Camby, Eduardo Najera, Nene, and Steve Blake to offer. Here is my proposed trade:
Denver gets Kevin Garnett
Minnesota gets Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith, and Nene Hilario
This trade works out financially and it makes sense for both teams. With this trade Denver instantly becomes a title contender while Minnesota gets younger players to rebuild around. Minnesota has not done much with Garnett so letting him go should not be to hard to do.
