So is it over yet? No??? You're kidding me right? Now Brett Favre might report Tuesday, or Wednesday, or sometime. This was supposed to be over now. He still hasn't given a letter of re-instatement to the league. Teams have talked to the Packers and been given permission to speak to him, but none actually have as far as we know. Every day we are bombarded with more details of this story. Every football writer on SI is weighing in with his opinion of what will happen. What will happen? Oh, it's the answer to the question we all are asking right? Let me just add my own opinion to the ever-growing Brett Favre debate. AARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Shut the ___ Up you Prima Donna, Diva, headline grabbing, spotlight seeking, attention craved old man!!! I have absolutely 100% had enough of this stupid Brett Favre saga! Guess what Favre, SI, Dan Patrick, everyone else - NFL training camps opened last week. Other teams besides the Green Bay Packers camps opened up. Brett Favre does not play for any team I even give a crap about. If he plays or not matters as much to me as whether the WNBA commissioner decides to lessen the suspension on Rick Mahorn - in other words, Not at All. Please let this story be resolved this week. No matter what, with his showboating Shipoopi-like performance of the past month, Favre has earned only my disgust, and lost all respect if any I ever had any for him.

Many teams are more interesting to me this year, and not just the left coast teams that I usually care about. The story in Cleveland is going to get very interesting. Derek Anderson has the starting job, and had a pretty good year last year, leading the Browns to a 10-6 record and just missing the playoffs. Meanwhile, they have Brady Quinn standing on the sidelines, being the Philip Rivers to Anderson's Drew Brees. How will this turn out? Lots of pressure here and two young, very good, decidedly un-prima donna players. That's football! Not the sideshow that is Brett Favre. Peyton Manning sounds like he's really messed up with an infection in his knee. What is the Colts backup name? Sorgi? Sorgum? Has anyone ever even seen this guy play? When he runs off the field after a series, will he look lost without his security clipboard? Its NFL time folks! Not the "Days of Brett Favre's Life" soap opera. Screw him. Get out of the news already.

The European menace is striking fear into all NBA fans at the moment. Josh Childress, formerly a solid sixth man for the Atlanta Hawks, left the safe shores of the USA for the golden riches of Greece and the Euro League. So will others follow? Will the almighty power of the Euro lure away all our great NBA players just as it has purchased the all-American Budweiser? Who's next, could it be a really BIG name? I say no. Lets face it, the NBA is still the NBA, the greatest basketball league on earth. While the lure of riches will be too much for some mid-level guys to refuse, I don't see any big stars leaving these shores, and their commercial endorsements and fame, for life over across the pond. Even a lot of young players will balk at the chance to go over and make millions more, just for the chance to make a name for themselves first in the NBA, the only league that really matters. I hate to offend my European amigos  - but an NBA player going to the Euroleague is tantamount to an established soccer (futbol) star in Europe coming over to play in the MLS. Sure, you might get our David Beckhams now and then, but you're never going to get LeBron.

So as our Major league baseball trade deadline approaches, the rumors fly and we wonder if our team is buying or selling. Of course, the July 31 deadline is not the real deadline, a player can be traded after the 31st, but must clear waivers in order to do so. Still, if any big names are going to be moved, it will be before midnight Thursday. YES, I CARE MUCH MORE ABOUT THIS THAN BRETT FAVRE! Front and center in all of this is Manny Ramirez. Now, over here on the West coast, I mostly just find Manny to be humorous. My team only plays his team a few times in the year, and we don't battle for division supremacy with them. So I can sit back and just enjoy the goofy things the guy says. "I don't care where I play -- I can even play in Iraq if need be." Hilarious. Last time I checked, they did not have a pro baseball league in Iraq. Not many people who are right now in Iraq are really too concerned about "playing" either. But Manny is a player who gets away with this. And we don't care. He likes to create stuff like this, and doggone it, it is pretty good drama. See that, Brett Favre? If you weren't such a tool, you could be like Manny and get away with saying and doing all kinds of crazy stuff. I really just got to sum it all up with that. Brett Favre - I don't care about you.

Good job Thug. Favre has played this "will he go or will he retire" thing for all it's worth. I'm sick of it.. I find this pictoral (excuse me) this blog a lot more interesting. Wake me up when somebody makes a decision.

I totally agree that top tier NBA players aren't going anywhere. LeBron will turn over $100 million in the next couple years-- 20 minutes from home. Why the hell would he leave the US?

"That;s just Manny being Manny" is also wearing thin. I don't really care about him either.

Good job. PEACE!

I completely agree thug. The worst thing about older athletes, especially the "once greats" is losing the ability to let go. Someone should diagnose this **** as "Michael Jordan Syndrome..."

July 28, 2008  05:48 PM ET

Should I take from this, PERHAPS, that Thug would not like to have Brettina suiting up for the Silver and Black?? LMAO
Smokin' chicks, as always. Can't argue with that...and why WOULD one???

Good stuff man. The babes perked me up quicker than my monday coffee. Favre's "maybe I will maybe I won't it's the Packers fault" is as tired as he is. Go to another team and stop bitching about it ger your mills and move on my god. We are excited in Browns town about the possibilities and Manny being manny is funny especially because it's happening to the BoSox. Have fun with that Red Sox Nation. One minute u love him the next minute u hate em. Keep em coming man the hunnies are tight.
