Well, I think it's time I rant on my Diamondbacks again. I'm not trying to be a one-trick pony here, but this is just something that emphasizes a point I had a while back.Quite honestly, the Diamondbacks are still not getting the media attention they deserve, something made all the more clear last night.
The Snakes played arguably the most exciting game of Major League Baseball last night (I say that cause UC Irvine/ASU was amazing) against the D-Rays. Trailing 7-1 in the 4th inning, the Diamondbacks pulled within 8-6 by the bottom of the ninth. After Carlos Quentin was walked to first base, Tony Clark came in to pinch hit for Tony Pena and sent a two run blast out of the park to send the game to extras. After going three up and three down with the D-Rays, Chris Young of the Diamondbacks stepped up to the plate with a man on base. Young sent the ball out of the park and gave the D'Backs a 10-8 walk-off win, his second walk-off homer this month, and his third game winner this month.
Still, ESPN can't find the time in a one hour edition of Sportscenter to even show the highlights, despite the fact that the game itself had FOUR plays in the Top Ten. It's not even one of the news stories on SI's MLB Frontpage! C'mon guys, let's give these Diamondbacks a little well-deserved attention.
