Most Underrated Funnyman in Sports

When it comes to sportsfans, everyone loves the funny guys who love to joke around. In football, there was Jerry Glanville, in Baseball, there was Bob Uecker in baseball, and there was many different drivers in NASCAR. People love these characters, no matter if there team is winning or losing. One of my favorite funnymen of all-time and, in my eyes, one of the most underrated and less-known is professional fisherman Bill Dance.

Bill Dance was born in 1940 and was raised in Lynchburg, Tennessee. He actually wanted to become a doctor when he got older, but decided against it after a motorcycle accident. He soon after began entering bass fishing tournaments, which led to some advice from one of his sponsors. The advice was to start a TV show to promote their sponsor, and the first episode of Bill Dance Outdoors was aired in 1968. The show is still around today, meaning this will be the 40th year of Bill Dance Outdoors.
Although Bill tries make his name as a great fisherman, he is better known for his bloopers, which has been made into 4 DVDs. Bill seems to have done everything there is to do when it comes to fishing, from hooking himself in the nose with a bait to knocking numerous cameramen off the boat.

I like watching Bill Dance because he represents the type of fishermen that my father and me are. We usually find a way to screw up every time we are out on the lake, but we somehow make it off the lake alive.
