As of now, 12:17 AM, CDT, the deadline is approaching in 47 hours and 43 minutes. The Rangers are loaded with prospects, and as of lately, the have a lot of premium prospects in the most valued positions coming into the deadline. I believe, this is their to do list.
- The Rangers have an abundance of catchers right now. Premium catchers at that. They have Laird signed for the next 2 years and Saltalamacchia for the next five. They also have Max Ramirez and Taylor Teagarden who are sure not to be traded, they are the future. The Marlins, Reds, Red Sox, Yankees, and Indians would figure to be among the clubs in the market for a catcher. The Rangers have the upperhand in this type of trade with clubs such as the Yankees who are in desperation for a catcher. But of course, in a trade like this, the Rangers need to accept offers including young pitching, and only young pitching.
- With Nelson Cruz in AAA, he has hit 37 dingers and is batting near .350, he is a definit trade prospect for the Mets, who are desperate to acquire a corner oufielder, especially one with some upside. In return, Texas must accept none other than a young starter who should be able to join the staff by next year, or year after.
- Minnesota is still in search of a third baseman, and fresh off of the disabled list, Hank Blalock is expected to switch jerseys. Minnesota has "shown interest".
- Although Texas is looking to acquire pitching, several team have been considering Eddie Guardado in the setup role. This could be a good trade, swapping a veteran set up man to a this year contender, for a younger set up man or any younger bullpen pitching.
- Keep Chris Davis, there hasn't been any trade rumors, but there is always some blockbuster trade made at 11:59 on the dot every few years who nobody sees coming. He has hit 10 homeruns in 26 games and is hitting .292, keeping him, would be very smart.

Not bad, as a fellow Rangers fan I agree with most of this things... Mostly trying to trade Cruz, he has failed in his attempts in the Majors, sell him now.
