Between now and November, I'm sure that many of the games that we think will be huge won't and some of the games that don't look important now will have high stakes. Hopefully some of the following games will look better and better as the season goes on...otherwise this week is weak. Here are the games you MUST SEE, the games you SHOULD SEE, and the games you might think about watching but you SHOULDN'T BOTHER.
MUST SEE
Nothing as of yet.
SHOULD SEE
TCU at Utah 7:00 Thurs Nov. 6th CBS
This is Utah's only big conference test before the showdown with BYU.
USC at Cal 7:00 Sat Nov. 8th ABC
Assuming USC doesn't fall into a trap game towards the end of the season, this should be the last chance for USC to loose. If they have less than 2 losses at this point, this will be their last chance for a statement game to show they deserve to play for a championsihp.
Alabama at LSU TBA TBA
Both teams are probably a year away. This will be a preview of two young teams that will battle for the SEC West over the next few years. If LSU has a quarterback, this could be a romp.
Cincinnati at West Virginia TBA TBA
The Big East race heats up towards the last 5 weeks of the season. West Virginia is lucky to have a bye next week, because their last 6 games are all big against Auburn and against every team who might have a chance in the Big East.
Clemson at Florida State
Bowden Bowl. If FSU's offense improves, it might matter this year
Louisville at Pittsburgh TBA TBA
Two teams the experts believe will be much improved from last year. If all is going according to plan for these teams, this game will keep the winner alive in the race for the Big East.
DON'T BOTHER
Oklahoma at Texas A&M TBA TBA
Some people are high on A&M this year. In the stacked South, A&M will be out of the race early and this will be their superbowl. It won't be enough and the Sonners will cruise.
