Lets start with the schedule and work our way down to preview. Okay?

Deleware- W (35-14). Warm up game against FCS team.

Middle Tennesse St.- W (30-3). Not that much of a threat. after losing Cromartie.

California- W (10-7). This one was a toss up between two great defensive minds in Freidgon and who ever coaches the Golden Bears, but why should we care who? They aren't in the South!!! They also both have deflated offenses who throw much interceptions. It will be a football chess match out there.

Eastern Michigan- W (28-14). After a tough battle with Cal, the defense will be tired. Thus 14 points from one of the more bad offenses in Eastern Michigan.

Perfect in the out of conference schedule. But lets look at the ACC aspect of Maryland.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Clemson- L (42-24). Last year I would have said toss up. But this year, they have C.J. Spiller, and James Davis at RB, and Cullen Harpr at QB. C.J. and James vs. Morgan Green and Dar'ell Scott. Cullen Harper vs. Chris Turner. 'Nuff said.

Virginia- W (34-10). Revenge. No Chris Long or Branden Albert. No win for UVA.

Wake Forest- L (28-21). In a semi shootout, Riley Skinner gets the best of Maryland's defense. Antonio Smith will be great at CB for the Deac's. No win for the Terps.

North Carolina St.- W (42-14). Remember last season? Even if you don't it was like 52-0. Expect great things for the Terps this season.

Virginia Tech- L (35-14). Sean Glennon will prove too much for Terps. The Hokies are too good overall.

North Carolina- W (21-14). Many people expect to see a turn around by UNC. But they still were the 4-8 team, but this year, they lack Derrick Harvey.

Florida St. L (14-10). In this stalemate, Drew Weatherford will come threw for FSU inspite of one of Marylands best efforts on defense.

Boston College W (24-10). Plain and Simple, no Matt Ryan, no win for the Eagles.

8-4

We have a couple of All-ACC caliber players in Dave Phillistin and Darrius Heyward-Bey. Dave Phillistin's highlight of last season was his 21 tackles against Georgia Tech. Heyward-Bey runs a 4.28 40. Chris Turner and Jordan Steffy give us two quarterbacks to work with. RB is a question though. Morgan Green and Dar'ell Scott have only taken 14 carries between them, but last season, Dar'ell Scott averaged 10.3 YPC. O Line is a great. 4/5 returning starters. Lindy's CF guide said that we have the best in the ACC. On defense, with the loss of Dre Moore (Buccaneers in 3rd round), and Erin Henderson (Vikings in Free Agency), we have some holes, but I believe that Chris Barnes and Dave Phillistin can hold the defense strong.
