     Remember in March, when people were labeling the Tigers as World Series contenders? Or people thought the Mariners and Padres would contend for their divisions? Or when the Marlins, Rays, and Twins were all expected to be in last place?

     I certianly do. And we see it every year. Predictions that turn out wrong. The truth is, the Tigers window for a playoff push is shutting by the day. The Mariners and Padres are two of the worst teams in baseball. And the Marlins are 1.5 games out of the NL East, the Twins are tied for the NL Central, and the Yanks and Sox are looking up at baseball's second best record- the Tampa Bay Rays.

     So with things a little clearer in mind right now. Here are the predictions for division by division with records.

     But as we saw with the Mets last September, nothing is written in stone till it's over. Sorry Mets fans.

x=clinched division
y=clinched wild card
z=home field advantage

NL East

1. xPhiladelphia Phillies 91-71
2. New York Mets 89-73
3. Florida Marlins 82-80
4. Washington Nationals 69-93
5. Atlanta Braves 68-94

NL Central

1. xzChicago Cubs 101-60
2. yMillwaukee Brewers 93-69
3. St. Louis Cardinals 90-70
4. Pittsburgh Pirates 79-83
5. Cincinnati Reds 77-85
6. Houston Astors 72-90

NL West

1. xArizona Diamondbacks 84-78
2. Los Angeles Dodgers 82-80
3. Colorado Rockies 78-84
4. San Fransisco Giants 68-94
5. San Diego Padres 63-99

From the top of Chicago all the way to the bottom of San Diego. These are my predicitions for the National Leauge. I would like to konw what you think.

AL is coming soon.
