Even though the Nationals have the worst record in baseball and will lose over 100 games they have the young players to contend in the future
Mike Daniel is a great outfielder with a good arm and a killer bat. In Double A this 23 year old is hitting .272 with 11 homeruns, 44 rbis and 16 stolen bases. He reminds me of a young Alfonso Soriano because he is a great all around player and plays good defense. Mike doesnt care, he'll steal a base or drive in a runner, whatever it takes to win he'll do. His only downfall is that he cant hit lefties well, but no lefty can at first. He has the tools to become a star and in a few years should be a starting outfielder for the Nats
Roger Bernadina has been tarring up the minors this year. Another great outfielder in the making he has Juan Pierre type speed, but gets on base a lot more and has 20 home run potential. This year he has played for the Nats Double and Triple A team with a combined 34 stolen bases, .330 average, 48 rbis, 16 doubles, and a whooping eight triples. This guy can do it all, though once hes behind in the count he hits below .200 which may end up to be the downfall of this 23 year old.
The Nats have been week at second base for a few years now but Matt Rogelstad will change that. This second baseman isnt the fastest but has loads of power and drives in tons of runs. He was a Carolina League Mid-Season All-Star and with the Nats depth at second base, he would be worth a good look at, with a shot at the majors this year
