Thanks to several prominent members of the site(oh and try not to use big words around high schoolers you'll be taken for a nerd, some of my own advice)I've recovered some info on what not to do, do, look out for, and other helpful hints for your freshamn year and on throughout high school. So if you're gonna be a frosh you better read. And I'm sorry I haven't been writing on Friday's here dude.

Azmodi:

I've graduated already but here goes some advise. Most Freshman think they have it made since their no longer new to the school. Their wrong. The facts are this. You may know your way around a lot better but, your still a new guy/gal and thus should be seen and not heard. Make it a point to go to a lot of social outings to get yourself known for your Junior year. You should spend some time at parties getting seen but not getting drunk. Get in and get out early. You can get your homework done and still get a rep for being a partier. So you will get the most out of both worlds. You will get to know a lot more people and still get the grades you need to not have to repeat any classes.

Mike4redsox:

1. If an upperclassmen calls you a freshman, don't make a comeback, sure they were freshman once, but they got their fair share.

2. Never hit on upperclass girls, trust me I learned the hard way. Even though upperclass guys hit on freshman girls, never go after upperclass girls.

3. Tests are hard, so if you value your grades you seriously have to study, I mean no radio, t.v, internet, nothing.

Yoda:

I've been out of school for years.

But here is my best advice for frosh...

1. WORK HARD. PLAY HARDER.
Keep up with your studies more than you think you are doing. Party even harder than you think you are doing. (just make sure you either working hard...or partying hard...Don't waste your time doing neither)

2. It's better to have regrets about things you did than to have regrets about things you wished you had done/tried. So make it a year to seek out NEW things and jump in and try. You will make mistakes (and regret them) but it's better than looking back 3 years later and wishing you had tried something new.

There ya go, froshie.

D-Fan:

Stay out of the Upper Classmen's way and when you play dodgeball in gym against Upper Classmen... Get behind someone big.

0x:

If you're playing sports, get cool with guys on varsity. Doesn't matter how, but if you know varsity players, it helps you out A TON. Plus, they're usually pretty entertaining people, haha.

Focus on your schoolwork right away. In junior high, you can mess around for a while, do a little work and then get a B or something. But in high school, it's not like that. You gotta take it seriously from the beginning.

Well, I guess those would be my two; make connections and take it seriously. And of course, have a good time.

So there you have it, use this info wisely.

"FRESHMAN!!!!"

RUN!

Ox, you're right with getting cool with the Varsity guys. I had a varsity guy as a mentor for weight lifting, got to go to his graduation party, hung out with him during the summer, he's really been a big help.

I know a guy on the Varsity basektbal team, that should help.I know a couple on the football time, that should help as well.A lot of the highschoolers,(mostly sopmores) like me because they like to call me by my nickname(Boobie)

Haha, thanks for the advice for the year. I've already taken some of 0x's advice and made connections with upperclassmen. I like Yoda's second bit of advice as well. I'll remember that...
