melky has a .242 average and a .638 ops, what's not to love? oh wait, his average has gone from .280 two years ago, to .273 last year, to his paltry .242 current mark -- and his OPS two years ago was .752, last year it was .718, and again now it is .638 -- I guess you make a good point, I thought the object was to get better after your first couple of years? you asked what girardi sees, well, if he isn't careful there will be a 3rd place finish staring at him in the immediate future.
