I seen TDs that have debated which superheroes and the like would make the best football team. So, i decided that I would make a football made up of actors, based on the rolls they have played. I apologize in advance for not having Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, or Marlon Brando, amongst others.
QB: Charlton Heston. This former head of the NRA knows how to hit a target from far away, so Accuracy wont be a problem. He can survive ramming speed, so he is strong and endurant. And if he can part the red sea, I think he can part his opponents defensive attacks.
RB: Robert Downey Jr. Yes, a surprise pick, but this iron man has speed, strength, and overall toughness. Try tackling this guy. Just Try. You people will find it is almost impossible (What do you mean, 'you people?')
HB: Billy Dee Williams. Played an actual halfback in "Brian's Song," Williams has what it takes to play this demanding position.
WR: Harrison Ford. Here me out; he was elusive in the Fugitive, so why wouldn't he be elusive when running routes? And he was able to outrun all of those savages on that island in his less famous trilogy, so he has speed. Sounds like he's a great shot; one in a million.
WR: Jack Nicholson. This guy can play crazy. Whether its Jack Torrance or McMurphy or the Joker, he can basically loose himself. So, this automatically means he can run crazy. Opponents won't know what to expect from him.
TE: Will Farrell. The Tight End position is often considered the "safety vavle." And honestly, if you have a movie that is only so-so script wise, go to Will Farrell and it will be hilarious. And he's like 6 feet tall. Could block well.
OG: Chris Farley. Big, takes up space.
LT: Christian Bale. The Left Tackle is not the most popular position, but it is critical to the passing game. And he won't get any credit, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a Left Tackle.
RT: John Travolta. Ive never seen Pulp Fiction, but he looked big. So, i gave him this position.
OG: John Candy. See Chris Farley.
DE: Javier Bardem. For a defensive end, there are no clean breakaways. You have to have the ferocity and the guts to blitz towards that feeble quarterback on the other side through those killer offensive lines. This serial killer has both.
DE: Arnold Swartzenagger. He will Terminate his opposition to get to the QB. Pardon that horrible pun.
DT: James Caan. This headstrong mobster knows how to take a hit; in fact, a series of hits from short range. He will be well prepared to take on the opposition, no matter how many hits he gets.
DT: Vin Diesel. This is a stretch to imagine this glorified stunt double as an actor, but yes, he has appeared in films. Bad films. anyway, he's buffed. Should be fine.
CB: Mike Vitar. If you don't remember, this was Benny Rodriguez from the sandlot. If the Jet can steal home, he has speed, and therefore can probably keep up with the wideouts in his league.
CB: Ben Cross. The runner from Chariots of Fire. He's fast. That's all I've got.
MLB: Sylvester Stallone. A MLB has to be able to adjust from blitzing against the run attack vs go back on a passing play. Much like how a boxer has to go from on the attack to on the defense. You know who was a boxer? Rocky. And he has that attack mentality from Rambo. Perfect for the position.
WLB: Robert De Niro. Another boxer, can handle being on the weak side due to overall great talent and strength. A WLB linebacker also has to be able to weave through "traffic" to get to his play; hell, De Niro was also a Taxi Driver.
SLB: Robin Williams. A strong and big guy himself. Nothing creative here.
SS: Tommy Lee Jones. The Safety is often the last line defense. They have to stop the play or its all over. Tommy Lee Jones was the one who stopped the fugitive, as well as those aliens in MIB. Seems pretty strong; it could work.
FS: Daniel Stern. The strong little guy from breaking away, he manages to ride his bike fast as well as have a fisty attitude. Would be ready to meet wide receivers upon catching the ball.
K/P: Al Pacino. The Guy who was dating cheerleaders when Moe Greene was making his bones. Give one reason why he couldn't be a kicker if he could become the Don.
H/backup QB: Burt Reynolds. Usually the back-up QB, the original Wrecking Crewe can handle this job.
KR/PR: Tom Hanks. Run Forrest! Run!
