So I got to attend the Steelers first preseason game against Philly and I was impressed.  The frist string looked great and the second and thrid string didn't look so bad either.  I was very impressed with one,  #14 Limas Sweed.  I thought that he looked great at training camp and is a hopeful wide receiver.  Ward is currently injured with a knee problem but I doubt it is much to worry about, he is probable to play in the second preseason game with a few more weeks to go until football season offically begins, he should be just fine.

Batch had undergone the collarbone surgery and is expected to be out for at least half of the regular season and obviously out the rest of the preseason.  But Pittsburgh has one thing to look forward to for our backup QB.  Byron Leftwich who signed with the Steelers for one year on Sunday.  The fact that it was between two vetern quarterbacks was a nice choice.  I wouldn't have minded if we would have grabbed pro-bowler Culpepper but I remember from having him on my fantasy team a few years ago that he is not always reliable.  The question is what is going to happen to Leftwich once Batch is able to play.  I guess we will see....
