So I was thinking the other day, "What NFL Team has the most fans?". Well, I decided to go all out and give you the rankings of fan bases of NFL teams throughout FanNation. The way I did it was simple: I searched for ever team and took the number of members in the largest group for that team on FanNation. Sure, this (and every other way) to do the research won't give you and exact answer, but it'll give you a rough idea. So, here are the fan bases for every division:

NFC North

Packers: PackerNation, 213 members

Bears: Chicago Bears Fan Group, 164 members

Vikings: Minnesota Vikings Fan Group, 74 members

Lions: Detroit Lions Fan Group, 61 members

NFC East

Cowboys: Dallas Cowboys Fan Group, 281 members

Eagles: Philadelphia Eagles Fan Group, 201 members

Giants: New York Giants Fan Group, 85 members

Redskins: Washington Redskins Fan Group, 73 members

NFC South

Panthers: Carolina Panthers Fan Group, 77 members

Saints: New Orleans Saints Fan Group, 65 members

Falcons: Atlanta Falcons Fan Group, 50 members

Buccaneers: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fan Group, 42 members

NFC West

49ers: San Francisco 49er Faithful Group, 77 members

Seahawks: Seattle Seahawks Fan Group, 69 members

Rams: St. Louis Rams Fan Group, 35 members

Cardinals: Arizona Cardinals Fan Group, 23 members

AFC North

Steelers: "FEEL THE STEEL"-Steeler Nation Fan Group, 492 members

Browns: Cleveland Browns Fan Group, 115 members

Ravens: Baltimore Ravens Fan Group, 80 members

Bengals: Cincinnati Bengals Fan Group, 64 members

AFC East

Patriots: New England Patriot Nation, 190 members

Dolphins: Miami Dolphins Fan Group, 86 members

Jets: New York Jets Club-Welcomes Favre, 82 members

Bills: Buffalo Bills Fan Group, 70 members

AFC South

Colts: Indianapolis Colts Fan Group, 109 members

Titans: Tennessee Titans Fan Group, 60 members

Jaguars: Jacksonville Jaguars Nation, 31 members

Texans: Houston Texans Fan, 30 members

AFC West

Broncos: "The Mile High Club" aka. Denver Broncos Fan Group, 138 members

Raiders: Oakland Raiders Fan Group, 94 members

Chargers: San Diego Chargers Fan Group, 80 members

Chiefs: Kansas City Chiefs Fan Group, 56 members

Total: 3,367 members

Average per team: 105 members

So, now you know how your team matches up with the other guys in your team's division (my Packers rule the NFC North). Now let's see how your divisions do against the other divisions in the NFL:

AFC North: 751 members (22.3%)

NFC East: 640 members (19%)

NFC North: 512 members (15.2%)

AFC East: 428 members (12.7%)

AFC West: 368 members (10.9%)

NFC South: 234 members (6.9%)

AFC South: 230 members (6.8%)

NFC West: 204 members (6%)

Fun Fact: The largest fan base, the Steelers, have more fans than total members in the AFC East, AFC West, NFC South, AFC South, and NFC West.

For some reason FanNation doesn't like teams in the two West's and South's; three of the four divisions in those areas are in the 6-7% tile of members. The North and East divisions have tons of fans, though. Anyway, now for the 32-team rankings of fan bases on FanNation in the NFL:

1) Steelers, 492 members (14.6%)

2) Cowboys, 281 members (8.3%)

3) Packers, 213 members (6.3%)

4) Eagles, 201 members (5.9%)

5) Patriots, 190 members (5.6%)

6) Bears, 164 members (4.8%)

7) Broncos, 138 members (4%)

8) Browns, 115 members (3.4%)

9) Colts, 109 members (3.2%)

10) Raiders, 94 members (2.7%)

11) Dolphins, 86 members (2.5%)

12) Giants, 85 members (2.5%)

13) Jets, 82 members (2.4%)

14) Chargers, 80 members (2.3%)

14) Ravens, 80 members (2.3%)

16) Panthers, 77 members (2.2%)

16) 49ers, 77 members (2.2%)

18) Vikings, 74 members (2.1%)

19) Redskins, 73 members (2.1%)

20) Bills, 70 members (2%)

21) Seahawks, 69 members (2%)

22) Saints, 65 members (1.9%)

23) Bengals, 64 members (1.9%)

24) Lions, 61 members (1.8%)

25) Titans, 60 members (1.7%)

26) Chiefs, 56 members (1.6%)

27) Falcons, 50 members (1.4%)

28) Buccaneers, 42 members (1.2%)

29) Rams, 35 members (1%)

30) Jaguars, 31 members (0.9%)

31) Texans, 30 members (0.8%)

32) Cardinals, 23 members (0.6%)

So, now you know where your teams are on FanNation. Thanks for checking this blog out.

Whoa!!! You mean to tell me the Cards actually have 23 fans?

August 11, 2008  05:23 PM ET

Well, I won't dispute this. Give us Skins fans time, and we'll have MORE members who'll ADMIT to being Skins fans.
Just saying...

August 11, 2008  05:42 PM ET

GOAT, I had no idea about that...good call. But I like giving out the biggest fan groups too.

Packers will take over your group and then remove you as a member. Here is examples of what he says in groups. See any patterns?

gocubsgoin'08 is the creator of the group and he is in our FanNation Hall of Fame. Should I ban him?
