The Cincinnati Reds have Traded Adam Dunn to the Arizona D'back for right handed pitcher Dallas Buck and 2 players to be named. This trade was reported and confirmed by Scott Miller of CBS sports.  Currently Dunn is tied for the NL lead in HRs with 32, but the rest of his stats are not impressive. He is batting .233, OBP .373, K's 120 and RBIs 74.  In his last 7 games he has 27 at bats with 4 hits 0 HRs 10 K's and hitting .148.  Hope the D'back know what their doing.  My understanding is this traded was made to stay ahead of the Dodgers.  Doesn't seem like their getting their money's worth.  He is also just an average fielder, so only time will tell.

What do you all think of this trade.

It depends who they traded trun out to be. If the guys given up turn into good players in the future than bad trade. If not Dunn gives them the pop in the lineup they dont have much of

I think this trade all of the sudden thrusts the NL West into the MLB spotlight. Dodgers get Man-Ram and the D-backs counter with Dunn. Both teams want this division badly because both know the loser wont sniff a wildcard spot.

Dunn for Minor League pitcher and 2 to be named later! Are you kidding me. First Griffey and then Dunn, both for nothing. I am so sick of the people running the Reds I could just puke. Once again, this is what we get when the cubs (Dusty) and the cards (Jocketty) are in charge of the Reds.

Hey Tressel, ever thought about baseball? Could use you in Cincy!!!!!!

When the season is over as far as the playoff goes, teams start dumping salary. That's what Cincy is doing to Dunn and Griffey. Same as the Padres were doing when they tried to trade Giles to Boston, but Giles vetoed the trade.

Huge baseball fan so I understand that. However, I think it could have been handled better when you are getting rid of the corner's of the outfield and leaving a young player to handle it all. So Jay Bruce has to figure out the outfield while Corey Patterson, .167 last 30 days, is on the full time roster. It has always been stated if you lose Griff you keep Dunn or vice versa. Never both.

I love the trade, it provided the power needed to strengthen the Dbacks lineup.
