Disclaimer: This is pretty much me being a girly-girl and drooling over gorgeous and talented athletes. Don't say I didn't warn you.
A-Rod, CP, A.J. I'm loving MNF tonight. Am I the only person on the planet who really, truly wants Aaron Rodgers (A-Rod 2.0) to be a great success. So far, pretty good. He's carried himself so well through the whole Favre debacle, and he's adorable. If his on-field abilities can hold up, he might move up on My Favorite QB List (chosen based on talent and attractiveness...Rodgers could totally top Carson Palmer, my boy from USC, who moves up or down based on what kind of a hair day he's having). A.J. Hawk's obviously not eligible for the QB list, and he doesn't have Tom Brady's looks anyway, but he's so fierce on the field that I love him anyway.
Back to the Packers, they've got rookies Brian Brohm and Matt Flynn as back-ups. Neither has any NFL experience going into the game, but they're both easy on the eyes. (Brohm's magazine cover last year was to die for, and Matt Flynn's often compared to Matt Damon - different playing styles, different sort of looks, but it's alllll good, well, "all" except Brohm's first pass/interception.)
Switching over to the Olympics, the view's just as good. Few athletes are as lean and lithe and toned as swimmers. I was so over Michael Phelps four years ago, when media coverage of the hometown hero was more than I could handle. Besides, four years ago, my boyfriend was a swimmer, and while he wasn't quite an Olympian, he was much more gorgeous than Michael. Who needs a gold-medal fantasy when you have a better version in real life?
But I'm not dating a swimmer now, and I'm not sitting around watching every race on T.V., so the more Michael I see, the better. (And with those looooow-rise swimsuits, I see a lot.)
It's not just Michael Phelps, either.
Ryan Lochte, with his curly blond hair and love of surfing and skateboarding, is much more my style. He's got a laidback attitude that always gets me, because you know I wish they all could be California boys.
And speaking of California boys...
Mark Sanchez: Please get that knee healed soon! I'm not a Mitch Mustain fan (but that could change...)
Ben Olson: I just feel so bad for him. Poor guy's had a heck of a college career, and I don't mean that in a good way. I have to feel that UCLA's pretty screwed this year, opening with a stretch of tough games (facing Tennessee first) that Olson will probably miss. I'm a Trojan girl all the way, so I don't mind if UCLA struggles, but I definitely wish Olson the best and hope he's able to get that surgery, get rehabbed, and get back behind center where he belongs to finish out his college football career.

You're definitely not the only one who wants A-Rod to do well. As a Packer fan I want him to do well..for different reasons than you do. I can't really comment on the attractiveness of the athletes you're talking about..but I'll take your word for it.

Actually I want Sanchez to come back. He'll easily miss two weeks of practice and make some mistakes against. That's pretty much the only chance that we of knocking off your trojans...
