Based on Matt Flynn's performance Monday night, he may be the #2 in the QB depth chart in Green Bay. He outperformed the 2^nd round draft pick Brian Brohm across the board. Green Bay got a steal with this young fellow. It is reported that he is certainly closing the gap to say the least.

Flynn outperformed Brohm, but Flynn also played 3rd & 4th stringers and not 2nd stringers like Brohm did....so a bit of an unfair comparison but the potential to pass up Brohm is there.

Well, the talk is that Flynn closed the gap between he and Brohm. It could happen, but the Packers used a pretty high pick on Brian Brohm, so he's going to get a lot chances to be A-Rod's back up. I think at the end of the preseason though it could be Matt Flynn..if he continues to play the way he did last night.

Flynn's commitment to the Tiger's was his blessing as well as his curse. He could have gone to abother Div I school instead of waiting behind JaMarkus Russell and got the number of televised reps for three years like Brohm had. His wait paid off by winning him a National Title. So I guess either way it goes, he made it to the show and we'll see where he goes from here.
