We've got less than 3 weeks now to opening weekend, and I can't wait.  This should be a really good season for the Wildcats.  After going through the league schedules, I get the same result as pretty much everyone outside the south:  UGA in the national championship game.  Using last season's ending Sagarin ratings and doing some adjusting according to who each team has returning (and what positions they play), along with some minor tweaks for things like bye weeks, I get the following for SEC teams:

WEST

LSU  12-0, 8-0 (lose to Georgia in SEC championship game--12-1, 8-1) -- Sugar

Auburn  10-2, 6-2 -- Cotton

Arkansas  6-6, 3-5 -- Liberty

Miss. St.  6-6, 2-6 -- Independence

Alabama  5-7, 2-6

Mississippi  4-8, 1-7

EAST

Georgia  11-1, 7-1 (beat LSU in champ. game -- 12-1, 8-1) -- BCS Championship

Florida  10-2, 6-2 -- Cap. One

Kentucky  10-2, 6-2 -- Outback

S. Carolina  7-5, 4-4 -- Chik-Fil-A

Tennessee  7-5, 3-5 -- Music City

Vanderbilt  2-10, 0-8

If you're still reading, you may be wondering. . . Leonard's Losers style:

Alabama will lose to Clemson, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Tenn., LSU, and Auburn.

Arkansas will lose to Texas, Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, S. Carolina, and LSU.

Auburn will lose to only LSU and Georgia, both at home.

Florida will lose to only LSU and Georgia, both in Florida.

Georgia will lose to only LSU but will avenge the loss in the championship game.

Kentucky will lose to only Florida and Georgia, beating Tennessee in Knoxville.

LSU will go undefeated, but won't be able to beat Georgia the second time around in ATL.

Mississippi will lose to all but Vandy in league play, plus Wake Forest.

Mississippi St. will lose to all but Vandy and Ole Miss.

S. Carolina will lose to Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, and Florida, plus Clemson.

Tennessee will lose to Florida, Auburn, Georgia, S. Carolina, and Kentucky.

Vandy will lose all league games, plus Miami of Ohio and Wake Forest.

Pretty crazy, huh?

lsu wont be able to beat georgia without an experieenced qb

August 13, 2008  03:14 AM ET

you've got to be kiddin me about bama. i see alittle bias here with kentucky goin 10-2 after losin yalls QB. Bama will beat Kentucky, but it'll be settled on the gridiron. and remember, the games in Tuscaloosa. RTR!!!

Lets filter the nonsense and start making some real sense. Last year LSU was loaded with talent, yet they lost two games and almost to UF at home and barely pulled out a win against Auburn. If they couldn't go undefeated last year they won't do it this year after losing so much talent to the draft. They will win 8 games max. Lets move on to Kentucky. Not only did they lose Woodson but they also lost leading rusher Rafael little and three of their top four recievers. UK will only have two SEC wins: Vandy and Arkansas. Welcome back to the bottom of the East.

August 13, 2008  11:51 AM ET

auburn wil win the sec

August 13, 2008  01:58 PM ET

whoever thinks UF will lose to LSUcks is out of thier mind .... lsu has lost so much talent its not funny.... they wont even win the SEC west .... we will beat Georgia too....

GO GATORS !!!!

UGA goes 11-1 and loses to either Auburn or LSU.

Florida goes 10-2 because they are loaded w/ talent but defense will cost them two games.

August 13, 2008  05:09 PM ET

No respect for Tennessee? They will NOT lose to Kentucky, especially not IN Knoxville. You must be crazy.

August 13, 2008  05:10 PM ET

You are CRAZY! Tennessee will NOT lose to Kentucky, especially with the game being IN Knoxville!!

Kentucky sucks!!

August 13, 2008  05:11 PM ET

Any Tennessee fans out there?

LSU will not go undefeated although they will kick the crap out of Florida in the sunshine state. I predict by 2 touch downs and a field goal to top it off. They will shut down Tebow like Michigan did when they exposed him. They will might lose to Auburn at Auburn but will beat UGA in Tiger Stadium. The best picture of the year in college footbal last season was Tebow crying sfter LSU beat them. Ha! poor baby, go back to Florida where they will kiss your little forehead and tell you how great you are. Now of course I'm saying all of this to piss off the Florida fans and get some angry and hateful comments. The way I really see it is LSU will go 10-2 this season Losing to Florida and Auburn away. They will beat UGA in Tiger stadium but will still make it to the SEC Championship because Auburn will lose two games in the west and four over all. It will be LSU vs. UGA in the SEC championship.

I don't see how you have LSU going undefeated until the SEC Championship game considering the vacancy at QB. Their defense may be great for 30 minutes but not the 40 minutes they will spend on the field because the offense can't move the ball. Kentucky will return to the good old days of winning 6 games this season. Can't figure out all of the love for Auburn. They weren't that good last year and I don't know what changed during the off season to change that. Florida and Georgia should be undefeated when they play in Jacksonville. Florida's defense will still be bad and because of that they will lose to Georgia. Florida will be able outscore the rest of their opponents. Winner of that game wins the SEC Championship game and moves on to the BCS Championship game. Remember the name A.J. Green! Just having him on the field will open things up even more for Moreno, Stafford, other receivers and tight end. The Georgia offense will be an amazing machine this year to go along with a great defense.

This prediction is simply stupid. Tennessee will not ever loose to Kentucky, especially S. Carolina or Auburn, I don't see them losing to Florida this year at home with the Gator's injured roster. Georgia is a certain threat. Also Vandy wont go 2-10, LSU will loose. Arkansas will possibly lead the west if not second. If you cant think better than this go waste forum space on ESPN.

That prediction is humerous and nothing more.

August 28, 2008  05:17 PM ET

It's not EVEN humorous!!!!!!
