DAY 16:
Steelers held a light practice, and Casey Hampton made his 2008 debut with the first team defense. There was one interesting controversy though, and this comes from WPXI.com
"The talk of camp on Day 16 had to deal with coach Tomlin and safety Anthony Smith's reaction to regarded columnist Gene Collier's Saturday work in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. The column refererred to Smith's questionable hits on teammates, including Hines Ward, during non-contact drills as acts of "training camp thuggery." Tomlin and Smith took exception to the comment inferring that the columnists' terminology painted a skewed picture of Smith as a person."
