What happened to you Jimmy Rollins...and who is this guy that has taken your place? It's kind of like when Ricky "The Wild Thing" Vaughn got a really big ego, started to stink, blew off the fans and became a real creep....actually...that's exactly what has happened here. Welcome to Major League II Phillies fans.
So you won an MVP, and your curtain call is not only being benched for not hustling and putting up average numbers, but calling out your own fans? Give me a break. Hate to tell you this Jimmy, but the fans of Philadelphia have supported your butt from day one, and call me crazy, but in your entire career there has been ONE division title. One. Not exactly front running material if you ask me. The fans of Philadelphia expect people to hustle...to work hard...and care as much as they do. Nothing more. Heck, your manager even benched you for not hustling on more than one occassion this year, and you want to blame the fans for not being happy. JOKE.
The people who are filling the stands every night, setting record attendance numbers...no they're not supportive. They only show up for championships, right? Still waiting 25 years and counting on that one buddy.
I mean, I guess we can lay hope in the next month and a half that Jimmy will wake up, show up at the ball park with a leather sleeveless vest and lines cut into his hair and return to the old player and guy we know (considering he is bald, that's going to be hard to swing...but then again he's been known to take unnecessary hacks). Maybe we'll have another NL East title to frontrun about. Oh and by the way, when you guys return from this slopfest out on the West Coast you call baseball on Tuesday, expect a packed house who will really let you know how they feel.
So go on, be lazy, have an attitude...go play in St. Louis or somewhere they call "Baseball Heaven". I doubt any true fan will put up with laziness, and that's all on you my friend.
For all of the people who will jump on the Philly fan bashing bandwagon, be my guest it's a pretty original thing to do. But go ahead and take a look in the mirror. I'm sure you'll find a lot of the same expectations that you would want from your team and its players. Then you can read this article:

Well from what I've seen it ain't all that bad around these parts considering the mansion he's built. I think him and Howard are on the verge of a Shawn Andrews. They never look happy unless they are talking to each other.

Is anyone surprized that an athlete is acting like a fool. If you think players give a crap about fans, you're dreaming. Its just like when the media was talking about Andruw Jones weight at the start of the season. He said, "I don't care what the fans think". What is he now.....................a big loser.
