On Day 5 there was lots of important action including Phelps score two golds and tw more world records to get number 4 and 5 in both categories at the 2008 Olympics. Also the womens gymnastics team for USA led by Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson scored silver as well. The United States mens volleyball team rolled though Cuba in straight sets as well.
Phelps had a very busy day in Beijing. He had to do some practicing and then had two swim in two finals (200M Butterfly and 4x200M Free relay) and he came out on the winning side on both of those including two world records and smashing the relay record and becoming the first relay of that distance to go under 7 minutes. Phelps has an off-night tommorow. Also Hoff had a close but disappointing 2 4th place finishes.
USA volleyball continues to dominate as usual as Rogers and Dalhuasser continue to rebound from their first game loss and they defeated Cubs in straight sets. The USA women play tommorow.
Last but not least, the womens team finals was tonight and the USA womens team came in second to an eyebrow raising China womens team that has fought against there "age problems".
But tomorow night will be great and day 6 will host yet another womens volleyball match, the mens gymnastics all around final and lots of action packed swimming.
