I was a wrestler in high school and was pretty successful at it. Freesytle wrestling I was also pretty successful at, but I don't get this Greco-Roman style. I mean I get that you can't use your legs that it is pretty much all throws what I apparently don't get is the scoring system. Take for instance United States heavyweight Dremiel Byars. How does one outscore your opponent 5-2 yet lose the match and you weren't disqualified in any kind of way? To the best of my knowledge the way it works is that each seperate round is counted as a seperate match. In that even Byars wins the first match 3-0 and ties in each of the other two rounds 1-1. So can anyone please explain to me how one gets 1 win, 0 losses and 2 ties and gets called the loser of the match when the opponent never beats you. I mean is there some kind of judging in place that says in the event of a tie it goes to the scorecard like in boxing or MMA? Or do they say well two ties equals a win or what because any way you look at it Byars had 5 points to the Swedish wrestlers 2. How in the Hell does Byars lose? Please someone explain this to me if you can.
