Here's the 2008 AP preseason Poll, I feel that these guys did a much better job than the coaches poll.

   1. Georgia (22)  1,528 0-0 2. Ohio State (21)  1,506 0-0 3. USC (12)  1,490 0-0 4. Oklahoma (4)  1,444 0-0 5. Florida (6)  1,415 0-0 6. Missouri  1,266 0-0 7. LSU  1,135 0-0 8. West Virginia 1,116 0-0 9. Clemson 1,105 0-010. Auburn  968 0-011. Texas  966 0-012. Texas Tech  786 0-013. Wisconsin  771 0-014. Kansas  707 0-015. Arizona State 631 0-016. Brigham Young  590 0-017. Virginia Tech 578 0-018. Tennessee  509 0-019. South Florida  496 0-020. Illinois  483 0-021. Oregon  366 0-022. Penn State  293 0-023. Wake Forest  227 0-024. Alabama  89 0-025. Pittsburgh  85 0-0

Others Receiving Votes- South Carolina 84, Fresno State 83, California 59, Utah 53, Cincinnati 44, Florida State 41, Michigan 36, Boston College 32, Rutgers 32, Michigan State 21, Boise State 17, Arkansas 14, North Carolina 14, Connecticut 10, Tulsa 7, UCLA 6, Oregon State 5, Mississippi State 4, Virginia 4, Arizona 3, Nebraska 2, Notre Dame 2, Hawaii 1, Washington 1.

The only thing is that I think that based on what we've seen from Pitt, they're not a top 25 yet.

And now for the idea, I'm gonna post a weekly blog with updated records for every team that's in the AP poll to see how accurate this poll is. I'm not gonna change there rank, just update there record.

What do you guys think?

Nice idea, it will show how wrong these voters are, but really it's tough to predict in the preseason, but I see little difference from the Coaches poll in this one, aside from no Michigan and the addition of Wake, Alabama, and Pittsburgh, still better than the AP

Good idea. I think that overall this poll is much better than the Coaches.

Nice, I still don't understand how SI put WVU at #14.Well then again, they suck at that anyway when it comes to any sport, so why do I even bother?

i know si seriously pissed me off this year. not that i shoukd expect better, they never give wvu any credit, those guys are retarded.

nice idea. AP poll is no doubt better than the coaches poll.

atleast that means that Ohio state and Georiga are gonna get the SI curse

August 18, 2008  12:45 PM ET

Good idea

I really like where LSU is listed. #7 in this one and #6 in the other. That's just high enough to take the lead around mid season and just low enough to stay off the radar of the top 5. Did anyone hear the latest news? yea, Brett Favre is coming to QB for the Tigers.

No way! That's awsome!
