After a very bizarre day and a strengthning track night, the Olympics was very bizarre. In todays swimming there were two quite bizarre finishes as Weber-Gale of Team USA tied for 7th to barely get into the mens 50 meter freestyle event. Also Phelps had an incredible comeback in the 100M Fly event and the worlds fastest man was crowned as well.

But first the amazing finish in the mens 100 Fly. Phelps was seeded to win after winning the United States trials and posting the top semi final time as well but he got off to a slow start. At the turn he was seeded in a damned 7th place but soon stormed back sllowly and within the last 10 meters it looked like Chekz was going to win the race. He took his last stroke and Phelps took his but a half stroke after that and won by .01 (one one0hundreth of a second). This was the first time he didnt break a wrold record at a final at these games but he was happy tying Spitz.

Then the second main event happened. After a long wait and some other field and long distance track event finals it was time for the world fastest man to be cowned. The favorite was Usian Bolt, the world record holder and 3rd qualifier. Also there were two americans in the race the number 2 and 3 for the team after Tyson Gay failed to qualify. After they were off, it was all the Lighting Bolt. He zoomed to the finish and turned it off after the first 80 meters and smashed the world record to get a 9.69. "he threw away a 9.59. He strted celebrating way too early" Bob Coastas quoted after the race" Second was a Trinidad and Tabago racer and third was Walter Dix from USA,.
